Rains continuing into October is a surprise for us folks in Pune. Of course it means we are spared the October heat.
An added surprise is this unexpected bloom on my Mogra.
It usually flowers from April onwards , and the last blooms are by end of June.
A lively surprise indeed!

Following up on an earlier geometry in nature post, here I have this amazing leaf that seems to be a circle formed by lines radiating from one point!
What do you see when you walk on the road? For me, the no brainer answer is Trees but very often it’s flowers that catch my eye.
Night blooming flowers may fall down and decorate a compound wall. These Wall Flowers make the structure more beautiful!!

Last year we trekked up to the Tigers Nest, at Paro in Bhutan. It is an iconic monastry situated precariously at the very edge of a cliff at an altitude of around 10,200 feet. A visit to Bhutan is incomplete without trekking up to the Tigers Nest.
It is a demanding walk but the beautiful surroundings makes one forget time and effort. The walk is made richer as one can can spot amazing birds, butterflies enroute.
